Mason Scurry, founding partner
Mason Scurry is an entrepreneur and AI builder. He founded his first company, Declutter USA, at 18 while studying sociology at Brown University, and sold it two years later. Declutter employed 29 people, kept more than 200,000 pre-loved items in circulation, and operated in five cities. He went on to found Scurry, a firm that builds custom AI systems for operating businesses, which served 21 clients in its first year.
His mentorship of student founders was recognized with Brown University's Hazeltine Award in Entrepreneurship. He spent two years with the Young Entrepreneurs Program, an international nonprofit that teaches entrepreneurship to hundreds of middle and high school students every year. Mason holds 15 certifications across AI enablement, sales, and marketing, and coaches communication in the Master's in Technology Leadership program at Brown.
Cliff Dutton, founding partner
Cliff Dutton is an experienced entrepreneur and technology executive. Leveraging his studies in cognitive science and mathematics at Brown University in the '80s, he developed patented solutions in digital image processing, network security, and game design. He has founded data-centric technology companies, including Distributed Data Systems, sold to GTECH Corporation, and Simpli.com, sold to NetZero, and led technology functions at global enterprises, including AIG, as SVP Legal Operations, and Epiq, the leading eDiscovery and alternative legal services provider, as Chief Innovation Officer.
His work in electronic discovery and legal operations was recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel with a Value Champion award in 2015. He has served on the board of directors of public and private companies. Cliff is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Brown University School of Engineering.
